The Ovation folks wanted a great solid body electric guitar that was not quite as radical looking as the Deacon or the Breadwinner. The Viper sports hot single coils that sound more like Gibson's P90, and less twangy than the Telecaster. The pole pieces on the bridge pickup follow Fenders lead to increase treble and bass. This is one of the early incarnations of a great guitar that much of the guitar world seems to have passed by. This historically significant master work

is in superb original condition and really plays great! $995 with hard case.
