In the last band I was in a specified that anyone playing bass had to play a Rickenbacker. The reason was simple, I wanted to hear every note and know exactly where he was...even though he was playing through an original SVT. I actually now own that bass because I love the sound it it and it has some sentimental value to me. It is in a more road worn condition than this beauty, but they both sound fantastic!
