1953 Gibson J 185

There is a lot not to like about this guitar. The bridge has been replaced, the top binding has been replaced and the neck binding has been removed. That being said, the maple bodied tone monster is feather weight and has a huge sound. Honestly, this may be the best sounding old Gibson we have ever had. It is easy to see why it would have a book value of $14,500 had it not been for the the above issues. However, you can take this one home, with the original hard case fo $4000. Just imagine what you could do with an extra ten thousand!
