What were they thinking? Who was this marketed toward? Regardless, this Japan built law suit era rarity is in museum quality condition. It plays and sounds quite good. Unlike modern Gibson's that engineer the bodies to reduce the weight, this beauty was weight enhanced to provide extra sustain. For some reason not everyone rushed out to purchase a guitar that said "Stud" on the headstock. They did not really appeal to the female guitarist either, so there are not many out there.
