In 1963 Ampeg started bringing British made Burns guitars into America. They were labeled Ampeg and this model was officially named the "Wild Dog" after the setting on the instrument that actually says, "Wild Dog". This beauty plays and sounds fantastic! However, I call it the "Junk Yard Dog" because the original whammy bar has been replaced, with a perfectly functional non-original part, and like many of these, the bridge cover is absent. This does come with a very rare original Ampeg made hard case that is a bit rough around the edges, but very functional. A true bargain at $995 for a British invasion legend
