When I first saw one of these at the Taylor factory, I told them that they were going to sell a lot of them. They were not so sure. This is like an acoustic Rickenbacker 12 string! The back and sides are solid maple and it is strung like a Rickenbacker rather than like all those other guys. If you want to do acoustic Byrds, Beatles, or Tom Petty songs, this is what you need! It just sounds right even before you plug it in and add a touch of compression.
